Incantevole!

With the Baby Be of Use Four-Book Bundle, you’ve got your domestic bases covered. Between naps and “turning over,” your baby can learn his or her way around banking, car repair, breakfast preparation, and drink-mixing. Through basic shapes and colors, these board books teach your precious little angels to be useful at long last. And why shouldn’t they help a little around the house?
The Baby Be of Use books got a nice mention in the December 2006 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine:
“Wish-fulfillment for wilting parents: Lisa Brown’s deliciously naughty Baby Be of Use series, helps take the boredom out of board books. Baby Mix Me a Drink, with its playroom-bright martini for Mama (‘And Nanny wants a champagne cocktail’) lifted our spirits; so did Baby Do My Banking (‘Baby, our finances are a mess! You’d better open up a new account…’). Now if we could only find a job for the dog…”

A bursting with life ABC, in which the pages go towards the curious reader and move in three dimensions in an astonishing way.
The letters of the alphabet change each time becoming self-building architectures, hypnotic discs revolving in many directions, hidden tie-beams, reflecting mirrors, transparent pages…
A sort of magic theatre made of pages of different types and colours.
Not only a book-to-glance-through, not simply a toy for children and adults, ABC3D is a precious object issued from the intersection of creativity and design. A personal journey among the letters of the alphabet from A to Z.
Marion Bataille was born in 1963 in Paris, where she attended the École Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques. She worked as graphic designer at many French magazines, newspapers and publishers such as Le Monde, Télérama, Gallimard, Le Centre Pompidou and many others. ABC3D is her third book.

Want to dress like the Pope? Well, why not? After all, the Pope is one of the most important people in the world, and gets invited to state dinners and stuff like that, and lives in an ornate place called the Vatican. You, meanwhile, are often dressed like a slob, and spend your days serving coleslaw. (Note: the last part of the preceding sentence applies only to coleslaw servers.) At long last, the Pope presents a book teaching you how to dress for every occasion, called “How To Dress For Every Occasion”. Get ready, get set, get into snappy dressing!
“Hooray!!” -Daniel Handler, freelance novelist
“This book is a well-organized and well-illustrated foray into snappy dressing, apparently written by the head of the Catholic Church.”
-Lisa Brown, freelance illustrator

Marzo, aprile.
